The Grade III section of the Kaituna River is an exhilarating adventure specially crafted for beginner thrill-seekers, not wanting to take on the 7meter Tutea Falls.
Children aged 10 to 13 are able to partake in this experience as they join the rest of the team at half way.

Kaituna River Grade iii Whitewater rafting - ōkere awa section

As you end your walk through the Ōkere Reserve, you will be met by the Kaituna River rafting team who will guide you down the beautiful lower section of the Kaituna River, also known as the Ōkere Awa. You will weave through several grade 3 rapids that will keep you excited and wanting more, while you look up in awe at the beautiful bush clad gorge.
